Guys-Why do you text a girl after YOU break up with her?

After 7 months of dating he dumpped me. So after a month of not speaking to each other he texts me and tells me he is moving "far away" and thanks me for being so sweet. I say nothing. So after a wk of getting the text I update my facebook profile pic and he send a message saying "U r so beautiful" ...I say thanks. Three days later he send a text saying "hey" ..I say nothing. Last night, he sends a text asking if I was up because he could not sleep. I say nothing... He dumpped me, what's up with him texting like every 3 days now. Esp since he moved "far away"...?? Oh yea, and he sent me a random picture of a sunset...lol. I said nothing..
