Should I send an email to my BFF on Valentines Day?

He and I have been dating for two months and then we broke up because of some family issues (on my part), and although we want to be together but can't, we decided to remain best friends nonetheless. He doesn't think much of Valentine's Day because he thinks it's too commercialized (and I agreed with him), but what he doesn't know is that I never was a big fan of Valentine's Day simply because I never had someone to send something to. And that always made me sad. Tomorrow being Valentines Day, I wrote a rough draft of an email I would like to send to him, but don't know if I should. I basically wrote how much I appreciate him in my life and all that he does for me. It's not really a mushy love letter or anything, but more of a short, sweet, and friendly letter for Valentines Day. Do you think I should send it to him tomorrow?
