Why do gay men is always depicting as a feminine man?

or a guy who likes to go to gym and to shave his body and his voice is feminine? do gay men are feminine by nature or those feminine gay men choose to be like that? I always want to know gay masculine but I always see feminine guys on the street.. also guys sometimes bring a woman bag that makes me think they are gay
